objective

To open up my own company building top quality sail and power boats using technology to obtain freedom from high fuel costs, using solar cells, DC motors, Hybrid diesel systems etc. I am also interested in hydraulic drives, pods, jet drives and the exploration of hydrogen fuel systems. I have restored and built 17 different boats over the past 20 years, which included setting forms, building molds, welding, fiberglassing, mechanical work, electrical work, hyrdraulics, ordering supplies, hiring people and launching vessels.

Restoration of a 27 foot lapstrake Ravin.

Sistered up bad ribs, replaced boards.
Rebuilt Chrysler Motor.


1975 Texas

Supervised and built 47-foot Ferro cement Junk.
Laid up rebar, cement, and built boat interior
Set engines, electrics, drive shaft, rudder etc.

1976-77 - Texas

Built three 65 foot shrimp boats – plywood and fiberglass

Built frames, set plywood and fiberglassed.
Aligned engines, hydraulics, downriggers, set shafts, steering etc.

1980 - Texas

Built 75-foot steel ketch rig yacht.

Welded the hull, deck and fittings.
Installed engines, set shafts, electrics etc.

Restored wood 36 foot Owens Powerboat
Replaced planks, put in new deck.
Installed new engines, props, rudders etc.

Helped build fibreglass Picklefork racing powerboat

Welded aluminum hull and installed J37 Alison jet engine

Laid up glass, built five hulls.

Installed Atlas 220 diesel engine, shaft, rudder and props.

Built 50-foot fibreglass over wood oyster boat.

Built two 32-foot Wharram Catamarans.
Built frames, set plywood and fiberglassed.
Installed steering, put up mast, rigging etc.

Rebuilt my wood 80-foot former Navy ship.
Replace boards and glassed below waterline.
Installed two Detroit 871’s.

Replaced port side of vessel with foam and fiberglass.
